This policy explains what App Ratings Tracker (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the
website at appratingstracker.com, the App Ratings Tracker iOS app and the App Ratings
Tracker connector for Claude and other AI assistants, how we use it, who we share it
with and how long we keep it. Questions go to
hello@appratingstracker.com.
What we collect
Account information
Your email address, used to sign you in with an emailed link or code.
If you use Sign in with Apple: an identifier from Apple and the email address Apple
shares with us, which may be a private relay address.
What you track
The App Store apps you add, the countries you track them in, and the search keywords
you track.
App Store Connect access (optional)
If you connect an App Store Connect API key to read and reply to reviews, we store
its issuer ID, key ID and private key. The private key is encrypted with a key held in
AWS Key Management Service and is only decrypted to make requests to Apple for you.
Through that key we read your apps’ customer reviews and your existing replies when
you ask for them, and publish a reply only when you approve one.
Replies you queue for approval (including ones an AI assistant queues through the
connector) are stored until you approve or discard them.
Public App Store data
We collect public App Store information such as ratings, rating counts, app versions,
search rankings and public reviews, for the apps we track. This is information Apple
publishes, not information about you.
Notifications
If you turn on alerts in the iOS app, we store your device’s push notification token
and a record of the notifications we send you.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive and store your email address and
Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and status. We never receive or store
your card details.
AI assistant connections
When you connect an AI assistant such as Claude, we store the connection’s access
and refresh tokens (as one-way hashes) and the name the client gave itself.
We receive only the requests the assistant makes to our tools (for example, which
app’s reviews to list). We do not receive or store your conversations with the
assistant.
Usage and diagnostics
The iOS app sends product analytics events (for example, answers given during
onboarding) to Amplitude, linked to your account.
Our servers keep operational logs, which can include your email address, app IDs
and error details, to run and secure the service.
Messages you send through the support form.
How we use it
To provide the service: tracking ratings and rankings, showing reviews, drafting and
publishing replies you approve, and sending the alerts you asked for.
To sign you in, bill subscriptions and answer support requests.
To keep the service secure and working, and to understand how it is used so we can
improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to train AI
models.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that run parts of App Ratings Tracker for
us, and only as needed for that part:

Server logs
When you connect an AI assistant, the data our tools return (such as your ratings,
reviews and drafts) goes to that assistant, under its own privacy policy. We may also
disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
Account data, tracked apps and keywords, App Store Connect keys, queued replies and
notification records are kept while your account exists.
Sign-in links and codes expire after 15 minutes and are deleted afterwards.
When you delete your account, we delete your account, tracked keywords and
App Store Connect key. Replies already published stay on the App Store, because they
are Apple’s to host. If you subscribed on appratingstracker.com, cancel that
subscription there as well.
Operational logs are kept for the retention period of our logging provider.
Public App Store data is kept as part of our historical ratings dataset.
Your choices and rights
Delete your account in the iOS app under Settings › Delete Account, or email
us and we will do it.
Disconnect an AI assistant under Settings › Assistant access at
appratingstracker.com/app/settings, or remove the connector in the assistant.
Remove your App Store Connect key at any time from the dashboard.
Connections use HTTPS. App Store Connect private keys are encrypted with AWS KMS, and
sign-in tokens, connection tokens and API keys are stored only as one-way hashes.
Children
App Ratings Tracker is a tool for app developers and is not directed at children under 13.
